Several weeks ago Microsoft released it's long awaited Windows 7 Operating system and thus far it has been smooth sailing for early adopters.  There have been many improvements, but the one we seem to be getting the most questions about is Windows 7's XP Mode.  The biggest question... What exactly is it?   Available to users of Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate Editions, XP Mode takes advantage of virtualization to run Windows XP in a window (or maximized) in Windows 7.  No need to dual boot or have that separate Windows XP PC anymore.  Even better is the new XP Application Mode, which allows any program installed into the virtual Windows XP to be launched directly from the Windows 7 desktop or start menu...this seamless integration makes the application appear as if it is actually running directly in Windows 7!
